Stucco Inspections

Our inspection process includes performing a visual inspection as well as moisture testing, whether you are buying, selling, or renovating.

Visual Inspections

The inspector will do a through observation of the stucco system, noting visual defects, improper instllations, and any signs of possible moisture intrusion. This part of the inspection allows the inspector to make an educated determination of moisture testing locations. All findings during the visual inspectionare detailed in rthe inspection report.

During our walk through inspection, we are looking for three main issues:

All of these can cause the substrate to hold moisture, which can lead to mold, rot, and termite damage.

We do a full walk around, constantly visualizing threats to the stucco, using our knowledge, experience, and testing equipment to provide us with a confident diagnosis we can stand behind. The visual inspection will show the condition of the stucco, exterior sealant, flashing, windows, doors, roof to stucco transitions, grade to stucco transitions, parapets, gutters, deck to building connections, columns, stucco terminations, and penetrations in the stucco system.  These visual tabs will help us determine key areas (not limited to) that will require testing.

When Experience Matters
